On July 12, the “Who’s Who” of Bavarian decision-makers gathered in Nuremberg.

For the 16th time, over 1,000 participants gathered at the NürnbergConvention Center in mid-July to network and exchange ideas. In 3 extremely interesting keynote speeches and 26 specialist presentations, the speakers introduced the participants to the latest trends and innovations of Bavarian SMEs from various sectors.

Jean-Claude and Gerlinde Baumer, Managing Directors of omegaconsulting, were there at the invitation of the Landshut Savings Banks Association and were able to make interesting new contacts and gather information on the bus trip to Nuremberg.

The core theme of this year’s conference: The “Company of the future. Networked. Digital. Innovative.” Many contributions revolved around the extensive topics and challenges of digitalization in companies. The highlight of this year’s event was once again the presentation of the Bavarian Founder Award, which is awarded in 6 categories. Method Park Holding AG, a specialist in the development of software systems for the most complex and safety-critical processes, was delighted to receive the award in the “Rising Star” category, underlining the relevance of networking, digitalization and innovation.

For omegaconsulting, experts in corporate succession, M&A and HR, the specialist presentations also confirmed the significant importance of this year’s core topic. Gerlinde Baumer sums up: “The lively networking in a pleasant atmosphere with entrepreneurs and representatives of the Bavarian savings banks not only gave us a lot of new impetus and ideas, but was also great fun. We will definitely be back next year!”

omegaconsulting presentation on the topic of personnel consulting in the context of company succession

Digitalization in consulting, new business models and approaches to fee negotiations – these topics were at the top of the agenda at this year’s HR Consultants’ Day on 26 April in Bonn. A program that brought together around 200 HR professionals and consultants from all over Germany for knowledge transfer and networking.
omegaconsulting – a long-standing BDU member – used this year’s event to present its unique business model as part of a lecture. Managing Director Jean-Claude Baumer addressed the special requirements and solutions for the successful identification and integration of “genuine successors” in SMEs. “Assessing the entrepreneurial competence of a successor is a complex task. Nevertheless, experience shows that this is based on a gut feeling. However, in order to safeguard the company, it is absolutely essential to take an analytical and methodical approach in order to enable a sustainable assessment of the successor,” the experienced consultant summarizes.

In the spirit of the omegaconsulting partnership, the 24-hour working meeting on March 10/11, 2017 in Fulda focused on professional project work and personal networking. This was also an ideal opportunity for the new partners to get involved in the community and find valuable approaches for professional exchange and cooperation.

The new model of the now established meeting was enthusiastically received by all participants and left visible results. The omegaconsulting project marketplace revealed the diversity and complexity of the consulting topics as well as numerous approaches to complementing expertise. As part of the collegial case consultation, some consultants benefited from their colleagues’ wealth of experience and creativity in solving tricky issues. “This form of close cooperation is essential for the success of our projects,” summarized Managing Director Jean-Claude Baumer after the meeting. Taking up this approach, the management is already actively planning the next regional and supra-regional meetings.
