The development of R&D expenditure in Germany in international comparison

According to a recent KfW study, Germany canfor the past one and a half decades, a high level of dynamism in R&Dexpenditure determinedexpenditure. This development is attributable to a comprehensive reorientation of research policy, which – in line with EU objectives – set clear priorities for increased investment in research and new technologies.

  • Expenditure on research and development (R&D) in Germany has risen significantly since 2005.
